From a young dreamer to an elated semi-retired
When I first came to Canada, I carried big dreams with me. At 17, my thinking was that I will be attending school when I get here. Reality soon kicks in as I came to realize, I needed to make money first.
I worked four jobs in an attempt to get ahead financially. There were days I would wake up not knowing what day it is and which job I was supposed to be at. I did this mainly because that was all that I know at the time. I know to exchange my time for salary.
Little did I know, I can have money work for me as well. Until a friend of mine shared an opportunity that helped me better make, manage, save, and protect money. This opportunity and knowledge combined helped me better prepare for my retirement. Retiring early has been a dream of mine. Now, that dream has come to reality.
